In the PT group since 1996, has a wide experience in the telecommunications sector, namely in product and service development and management, distribution channels, customer devices, pricing, strategy and loyalty program management, CRM management, Business Intelligence and Big Data.
He has a degree in History, holds an MBA in Marketing and Communication and an advanced training in Telecommunication Management, as well as in Leadership and Organizational Transformation, namely by the Nova Lisbon University, the Catholic University of Lisbon and by the Lisbon MBA.Has been Invited Speaker for several conferences in diverse industry events held in Madrid, Barcelona, Vienna, Monaco and Lisbon, and regularly participates in sector discussion forums.
Pedro Santos was appointed General Manager of the five-star Sheraton Cascais Resort in February 2016 and leads the team with passionate home-grown knowledge and expertise having been born and raised in Cascais.
After graduating in Marketing, Pedro specialised in Hotel Management at INESP and took up his first position in the hospitality industry in 2002 when he was appointed Sales Executive at Quinta da Marinha Resort. He later joined Marriott International as a Sales Supervisor and in 2007, was promoted to Sales & Marketing Director of the Vivamarinha Hotel & Suites where he played a critical role in the transition of the property to the Sheraton Cascais Resort in February 2016.
A true local, Pedro embodies the lifestyle of the leisurely destination he represents. A sailing aficionado as well as an occasional surfer and windsurfer, Pedro discovered his passion for the sea at an early age and quickly become determined to make it an element of his daily routine. With an inherent love for the city, its fabulous year-round climate, unrivalled tranquillity and proximity to the vibrant capital, Lisbon, when Pedro is not working, he is happiest enjoying fresh fish and seafood at his favourite oceanfront restaurant.
In conjunction with his hotel position, between 2011-2014, Pedro served as President of the Board and later became a board member of the Estoril Congress Centre.
Maria D’Orey is the Director of Spa & Fitness at the glamorous Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort in Algarve and its sister property, Sheraton Cascais Resort, near Lisbon.
Despite initially studying law at Lusíada
University of Porto, an enduring passion for exercise and wellbeing led her to forge a successful career in health and wellness.
Maria was a gym instructor and personal trainer at the upscale Holmes Place chain in Lisbon before joining Pine Cliffs in 2006. There, she was instrumental in devising the resort’s first activity programme that included a variety of fitness and lifestyle classes. Inspired by how the fitness programme substantially improved her clients’ health and wellbeing, Maria began to dedicate her expertise to the world of spa and wellness.
She managed the externally-owned Spa Ritual brand on-site for three years before creating a bespoke in-house wellness offering for Pine Cliffs in 2013 – Experience Wellness. The concept included a mix of exclusive treatments and selection of products dedicated to wellbeing, and developed into the flagship Serenity – The Art of Wellbeing, which launched at Pine Cliffs and the Sheraton Cascais Resort in 2016.
Today, Maria dedicates her time to the daily management of both spas and is responsible for partnerships, human resources and marketing strategy as well as the creation of signature treatments. She holds a postgraduate degree in Spa Operations & Management from the University of Algarve and is certified in Medical Spa for several top-end brands including Sensai, Ila, Charme d’Orient, Margarett Dabbs, Thalgo, Gentlemen’s Tonic, Organic Pharmacy and Kérastase.
In her free time, Maria enjoys training regularly and participates in half-marathons.
Kristin began her athletic career at the age of nine, in the sport of acrobatic gymnastics. Over the next decade, she and acrobatics partner Michael Rodrigues became U.S. National Champions, World Champions, and the first and only Americans to win the World Games in the sport. Beyond her competition results, Allen has earned numerous accolades including USA Gymnastics Sportsperson of the Year, Athlete of the Year, and FIG World-Class Gymnast. In 2015, she was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
After retiring from competitive sport, Kristin went on to perform over 900 shows for Cirque du Soleil, the world’s largest theatrical production company. Allen then joined Olympians
and world-medalists for the 40-city Kellogg’s Tour of Champions, performing in some of America’s largest venues. In 2014, she worked on the BBC production of Tumble, a reality show that paired celebrities with top performers for a live spectacle of gymnastics competition. She went on to perform acrobatic stunts on Broadway in the Tony award-winning production of Pippin.
Kristin’s career path shifted dramatically when she traumatically injured her back while doing a stunt during a performance of Pippin. Kristin now lives with chronic pain from her injury, but that does not stop her from living life to the fullest. Currently residing in Los Angeles, California, she is a student at the USC Marshall School Business, one of top business programs in the United States. Beyond being a student, she is the founder and president of the Acrobatic Gymnastics Foundation (iheartacro.org) which provides grants to athletes with financial need, as well as a board member of the National Gymnastics Foundation.

Bernard holds a bachelor in Physical Education and has a Masters in Science and Physical Activity from the Université Laval. He also taught Physical Education at the Université de Montréal from 1980-1997. As one of the main organizers of the first international conferences for the development of talent in gymnastics (World Gymnastics Championships held in Montréal in 1985), he was often asked to analyze international competitions such as the Sabaë World Championships and the following Olympic Games: Barcelona in 1992, Atlanta in 1996, Sydney in 2000, Athens in 2004, Beijing in 2008, London in 2012 and Rio de Janiero in 2016.
Renowned coach at Gymnix de Montréal from 1980-1998, Bernard has contributed to the development of some of Canada’s best gymnasts, including Cathy Giancaspro (Seoul 1988), Mylène Fleury (Barcelona 1992) and Marilou Cousineau (five time World Championships winner). He has also coached the Canadian Olympic Team, through 13 World Championships and 2 Olympic Games.
Bernard Petiot has been part of the Cirque du Soleil management team for 20 years and currently holds the title of Vice President of Casting and Performance. His Vice Presidency consists of the following departments: Human Performance Design and Management / Performance Medicine / Casting .

Fred’s journey started when he left college at 20 years old to start his first company, Sonder. Without really knowing what he was doing, he borrowed money from his grandma, and started working in his bedroom, while sleeping in the living room’s floor. Five years later Sonder operates in Lisbon, Oporto, and Barcelona, having cast thousands of people shooting for more than 30 countries, with brands like Coca-Cola, Nike, and Instagram. Andrew Paradise is the CEO and founder of Skillz, the worldwide leader in mobile eSports, which was named the fastest-growing company in America by Inc. Magazine. Andrew is a serial entrepreneur with a successful track record. Prior to Skillz, Andrew founded AisleBuyer, which was sold to Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU) in April 2012 as well as Double Picture, which was sold in 2009 to MPA Inc. He has also worked in venture capital and private equity investing for Fort Washington Capital Partners and The Watermill Group.
Andrew learned to program at age seven by hacking a video game with a hex editor and later wrote his first game in Pascal. Andrew founded Skillz because he believes in making mobile games more fun for players while making game creation more lucrative for developers.
Colonel Mullane was born September 10, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas but spent much of his youth in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he currently resides. Upon his graduation from West Point in 1967, he was commissioned in the United States Air Force. As a Weapon Systems Operator aboard RF-4C Phantom aircraft, he completed 134 combat missions in Vietnam. He holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and is also a graduate of the Air Force Flight Test Engineer School at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
Mullane was selected as a Mission Specialist in 1978 in the first group of Space Shuttle Astronauts. He completed three space missions aboard the Shuttles Discovery (STS-41D) and Atlantis (STS-27 & 36) before retiring from NASA and the Air Force in 1990. Mullane has been inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame and is the recipient of many awards, including the Air Force Distinguished Flying Cross, Legion of Merit and the NASA Space Flight Medal.
Since his retirement from NASA, Colonel Mullane has written an award-winning children’s book, Liftoff! An Astronaut’s Dream, and a popular space-fact book, Do Your Ears Pop In Space? His memoir, Riding Rockets: The Outrageous Tales of a Space Shuttle
Astronaut, has been reviewed in the New York Times and on the Jon Stewart Daily Show.
It has also been featured on Barnes and Noble’s 2010 recommended summer reading list. Mullane has held a lifelong passion for mountain climbing. Since age 60 he has summited Africa’s highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro, as well as Mt. Rainier and forty of Colorado’s 14,000 ft. peaks.
